More than 3,000 neighbours came together for another great day full of music, hot dogs, smokies, cupcakes, hot chocolate, lemonade, face painting and celebration at the 2010 Fair in the Square! For the fourth year now, Central City Foundation and Vancouver Community College came together to organize a special afternoon for the community with great food, fun and entertainment and an extensive fair of community groups, artists and artisans selling their wares.

Truly, it was a memorable day that would not have been possible without the generosity of our many sponsors, in-kind contributors and the incredible efforts of more than 200 volunteers who swept and raked, loaded and carried, prepared and served buns and smokies and cupcakes, and generally shared a little caring and good cheer with our neighbours!

Many of our community partners, local social enterprises, artisans and vendors all took the time to spend the day with us and share information about their programs and services as well as promote their wares. We were also treated to an incredible concert by a diverse group of performers who all generously donated their time and talents.

We hope the photo gallery gives a glimpse into fun had by all and the many smiles shared at the Fair.

As many of our neighbours said to us at the end of the day “See you again next year”!
