Canada Helps • Secure contributions online

CanadaHelps.org (CHO) is a not-for-profit charity portal and a registered public foundation that seeks to promote and facilitate philanthropy through online giving. CanadaHelps.org offers its services at no cost to the charity or the donor. All the information you enter is held strictly confidential and securely protected, and your information is only provided to the charity to which your donation has been made. Secure Socket Layers (SSL) are used to encrypt all information before sending it to their servers, using a 128-bit encryption level. Your information remains encrypted until it reaches their servers and, once there, it is protected by firewalls and the most effective security measures available.

Donations made through the CanadaHelps.org website are treated in the same way as regular charitable donations. Usually within minutes of successfully completing a donation, you will receive an e-mail notification confirming the transaction and your tax receipt. The
Canada Revenue Agency has approved the use of CanadaHelps.org electronic tax receipts.
