7th Annual Fair in the Square ~ Sunday, May 26 in Victory Square Park

The 7th annual Fair in the Square, a free community celebration, concert and BBQ lunch, returns to Victory Square Park at Hastings and Cambie in downtown Vancouver on Sunday, May 26, 2013 from 11am to 2pm.

Hosted by Central City Foundation with partner Vancouver Community College, this upbeat neighbourhood celebration will have live music from the concert stage, a free barbecue lunch feeding thousands, and dozens of community groups, artists and artisans displaying and selling their wares.

There will be contests and prize draws, along with free cupcakes, lemonade, and a festive atmosphere for neighbours meeting their neighbours from throughout Metro Vancouver.

WHO: Musical guests include singer-songwriters Christine Magee and Bodhi Jones; teen rockers The Bank Dogs; children from the performance group at Project Limelight, Aboriginal women’s group M’Girl; Uzume Taiko Drummers; the Town Hall, the Portage Freedom Fighters; hosted by CITY TV’s Thor Diakow
