Central City Foundation’s President and CEO, Jennifer Johnstone, will be the host of Vancouver’s 18th Annual National Philanthropy Day Event on November 17 for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, including a full-day professional development Summit and the annual awards luncheon.
“National Philanthropy Day is a great opportunity to showcase the talent of fundraising professionals in Vancouver, the breadth of the non-profit organizations with whom they work, and the generosity of donors like ours,” says Jennifer Johnstone, President and CEO of Central City Foundation and current President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals for Vancouver. “This is a great opportunity for Central City Foundation to show its leadership in creating impact through philanthropy.”
More than 200 fundraisers are expected to take part in the 2015 Summit, with professional development courses offered on subjects such as donor engagement, program development, major gifts, strategy management and leadership. The 2015 awards luncheon will highlight 7 Giving Hearts Awards recipients, outstanding individuals and corporations who were nominated by local non-profit organizations. Central City Foundation has sponsored the award for Outstanding Philanthropists.
The National Philanthropy Day Summit and Luncheon will be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre on November 17, 2015. The Summit runs from 8:30 am to 5pm and the luncheon takes place from 12-2pm. Tickets are available at npd2015.eventbrite.ca.
