On Sunday, May 28th, Central City Foundation and Vancouver Community College will host the 11th annual Fair in the Square – a no-cost community fair for inner city residents and neighbours from across Vancouver. More than 3,000 people are expected to join us in Victory Square Park to connect with their neighbours, celebrate community, enjoy the wonderful free BBQ lunch, our abundant community partner displays and eclectic entertainment that form the heart of Fair in the Square.
This past year has been challenging for Vancouverites struggling to overcome a devastating opioid crisis and the continued critical shortage of affordable housing in our city. No neighbourhood has more deeply felt the losses or struggled more valiantly to meet these challenges than the Downtown Eastside. That’s why this year at Fair in the Square, we will offer a space of respite, of connection, and renewal for all our neighbours.
For more than 110 years, Central City Foundation has been bringing neighbours together to improve lives and build hope of a better future in our community. This has never been more needed in Vancouver than now. #webuildhope
Join us and your neighbours on Sunday, May 28th at Fair in the Square to connect, recharge and build hope.
